Max Planck Emeritus Group

Many scientists cannot imagine a life without research, even after retirement ‐ and they do not have to: The Max Planck Society offers the institution of “Emeritus Groups” where retired directors continue their research with the help of Max Planck research grants and other third‐party funds.

The Max Planck Emeritus Group works in close cooperation with the “Munich Research Institute for the Economics of Aging and SHARE Analyses” (MEA), which formed part of this Institute as the “Munich Center for the Economics of Aging” from 2011 – 2022 and is now being continued as an independent scientific institution.
